Organizing 101:
We’ll start with defining and digging into what organizing is and getting your story of self in a great place for you to start having 1:1 6-part organizing conversations. We’ll tap into the work of Dr. Marshall Ganz on Public Narrative and organizing, refining your relationship-based work. After diving into the six parts of organizing conversation, we’ll dig into the HOW, including field, fundraising, and basic comms, so you can easily adapt your organizing to electoral and issue-based campaigns. After the interactive weekend, you’ll leave with a greater understanding of how you can organize in your own community – and be a big part of ours.
This is a great program for folks looking to work on their organizing skills with a progressive and interactive team and organization, focused on building state and local governing power.

GOTV:
We’ll start with your prep work – who are you trying to turn out? What is your current capacity, and what do you need to turn out the folks you need to win? Do you have time to run Weekends of Action in prep for your GOTV efforts?
Once you have an idea of what you need to accomplish, we’ll work on coming up with a plan. With consideration of your budget, we’ll dig into what the execution of goals looks like. This might be evolving roles from your persuasion team, developing your turnout script, or digging into volunteer recruitment.

Comms for Campaigns:
Whether you’re already working in an organization or for a campaign, or interested in leveling up your comms skills, this interactive weekend will dive into the creation and execution of a full comms plan. From messaging, branding, and voice all the way to content management and social media, you’ll leave with a robust plan, resources, and next steps to make your comms shine.
This is great for current, budding, and interested comms staffers working on state and local projects.
