Contrary to consumer diet culture, wellness is not synonymous with a number on a scale. This workshop is designed to introduce a research-based concept of wellness that hinges on integrating eight interdependent areas — physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental. Through self-reflection and guided exercises, participants will identify where they stand in the eight areas, zero in on those of priority in their wellness journey, and develop concrete plans to achieve progress. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of themselves, an intuitive self-reflection tool they can use to perform periodic self-wellness checks, and everyday strategies to enhance their overall health and well-being.
