Muthoni told the story of her professional journey to her current position at the DNC. She shared some wonderful anecdotes that explained her successes and achievements along the way. Muthoni shared some of her personal challenges, mistakes, and more. She offered some wonderful advice to our users about what the Democratic Party does, what work opportunities exist there, and how to navigate and make an impact. She was candid, pragmatic but also encouraging. Her most important point is that this is hard work and heart work but anyone can do it. The feedback was amazing – in large part because of Muthoni’s magnetic personality. Her authentic kindness and commitment to the Democratic Party Black, Indigenous, Latinx, women, LGBTQ, and other underrepresented historically marginalized and discriminated against communities shines through when she talks and she draws users in. It was an informative, engaging conversation that sought to demystify the Democratic party and to talk about opportunities to be impactful in this election and beyond.
