      Career Highlights 

      • Coordinated the day-long launch of the first NYC Census Community Grants program, engaging over 300 representatives from 157 community organizations in presentations and workshops.
      • Instrumental in organizing a 600+ person march featured on the cover of NY Magazine, amassing a 500+ person email list and strong social media following, and creating a Slack workspace for city employees to collaborate and amplify community-led movements for social justice. Designed the campaign website using Wix.

      Volunteer Policy Kit Organizer, Civic Duty Voting Democracy Policy Network 11/20 – Present

      Organize policy research for state legislators, activists, and movement leaders by researching civic duty voting (mandatory voting), speaking with thought leaders, and packaging findings into an accessible policy report kit.
      Amplify policy report kit utilizing social media, press, and communications with state legislator networks.

      Community Grants Manager NYC Census 2020, City of New York, New York, NY 12/19 – Present

      Manage a portfolio of 19 community organizations with a combined $2.6M in City grant funding. Serve as their primary point of contact with NYC Census, providing multi-faceted support and ensuring timely reporting.
      Adapt to the changing societal and political climate during the grant period by collaboratively modifying the grantees’ work plans, including outreach strategies and execution, budgeting, and data tracking.
      Coordinated the day-long launch of the first NYC Census Community Grants program, engaging over 300 representatives from 157 community organizations that received grant funding. 

      Social Work Field Placements

      JCC Center for Special Needs, New York, NY 09/18 – 05/19

      Promoted the independence of children and adults with disabilities by coordinating recreational programming and sharing resources with staff and client care teams. Created and facilitated a program that provides recreational and social opportunities to recent high school graduates with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities.

      DOE Community Schools, New York, NY 01/18 – 06/18

      Facilitated the inclusion of students with special needs into a mainstream school by providing social and emotional support to elementary school special education students, and guidance and best practices for teachers. 

      Data and Reporting Associate Esperanza NY, New York, NY 04/17 – 01/18 

      Instrumental in securing renewed funding for a community-based alternative to incarceration program that serves 200 court-involved youth each year. Collaborated with the NYC Department of Probation, Administration for Children’s Services, The Pinkerton Foundation, and other stakeholders to compile and disseminate reports on demographics, recidivism rates, and long-term outcomes of current and former participants. 

      Research and Evaluation Coordinator Harlem Children’s Zone, New York, NY 12/16 – 04/17

      Evaluated the efficacy of programs that serve 20,000+ youth and adults living in the Harlem community by  compiling programmatic data and research related to the Healthy Harlem initiative.
      Supported development of a sexual education program for students at Harlem Children’s Zone’s schools.

      Giving Tuesday Contractor 92Y Center for Innovation & Social Impact, New York, NY 11/16 – 12/16

      Served as the primary source of technical, messaging, and fundraising support for organizations and individuals around the world as they created giving campaigns. Achieved a 33% increase in the number of campaigns receiving online donations, and a 31% increase in the amount of funds raised online during Giving Tuesday 2016. 

      Program & Communications Associate Arts Unbound, Orange, NJ 05/14 – 10/16 

      Doubled the number of students enrolled in programs, increased the number of gallery events, and grew Facebook traffic by 300% and email contacts by 150% for an arts organization serving people with disabilities.
      Designed digital and print collateral for programs and events, created an annual report, redesigned the website to meet ADA standards, and updated the logo, website, and marketing materials to strengthen brand identity.
      Instrumental in all aspects of opening a second location for artists to sell their work. Managed intake and sales reports for artwork, managed and trained a team of fifteen volunteers, and conducted community outreach.
