Heading into 2022 midterm elections, the New Battleground States: The Power of Mobilizing the Rising American Electorate & Opportunities to Work + Win AZ, GA and NC discussion sponsored by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is very timely and crucial knowledge.
In 2020, voters turned out in record numbers and showed that there was a new set of battleground states emerging. For the presidential election, AZ, GA, and NC had narrow margins of less than 2 percentage points. These results demonstrated the strength of The Rising American Electorate (RAE), which is made up of people of color, unmarried women, and younger voters (Gen Z+Millennials). The RAE has a significant impact on elections and the mobilization of this electorate on the ground can make the difference in states with critical elections this year like AZ, GA, and NC. Coordinated campaigns are up in these three states and jobs are available.
