Bio |
I grew up in a Union household; my dad was very involved with the 2011 Wisconsin Protests and the subsequent recall of Governor Scott Walker. As a college student, I gathered recall signatures from my dorm room. After the recall, I took time away from political activism. When Bernie Sanders announced his presidential campaign in 2015, I started attending house meetings with others who were passionate about Senator Sanders platform and message. Eventually, I became the student organizer for a local Students for Bernie chapter, knocked doors, and recruited other students to volunteer.
In May of 2016, I was approached by my local Democratic Party to run for State Assembly against the GOP incumbent. I spent the rest of the 2016 election cycle as the Democratic challenger to my opponent in the Wisconsin 88th Assembly District. After the 2016 election, I continued to volunteer for my local county party by serving as a campaign manager for local candidates.
After a year of volunteering, I was hired in April of 2018 by For Our Future Wisconsin to be the Paid Canvas Organizer for Northeast Wisconsin. During my time in this role, I recruited, trained. and managed a Paid Canvas team of up to 25 out of the Green Bay Office. During this time, FoF worked on the Special Election for Wisconsin Senate District 1. Our team played a key role in securing the victory for Caleb Frostman and flipping the seat from GOP control for the first time since 1976. By September of 2018, I was promoted to the regional organizer of North Central Wisconsin.
