Jessica felt called to politics from a young age as she saw problems in her community and felt compelled to take action. Her journey started when she began canvassing at 16. From there she went on to work Congressional Campaigns, work for Emily’s List, to her current position at the DLCC. She shared her insight on how to transition between positions and hone in on professional skills and passions. She also shared some of her challenges and how she overcame them. She talks about intentionally building a support network at work that helps keep her accountable and continue to grow professionally. Her advice to viewers was comprehensive and transparent. Jessica’s commitment to the Democratic Party shines through in her ambition and vision for the DLCC. Jessica is an example of how effective collaboration creates brilliant leadership.
