My first political consulting job was with Blueprint polling in 2019. There, I helped on numerous projects related to regional political strategies meant to protect public services in Mississippi. My favorite projects included opposition research for the Jim Hood Campaign and an updated statewide directory of school board officials for the Southern Poverty Law Center’s plan to protect the public education system in Mississippi.

In 2020, I was hired as a field organizer for the Mike Espy Campaign. My objective was to find and connect networks of organizers across the North West of Mississippi in order to garner support for the Democratic Senate candidate looking to unseat Cindy Hyde-Smith.

I went to Rhodes College and got a degree in political science with a concentration in environmental studies. MY thesis work focused on tying progressive environmental policy and green economics to a region wide fundraising strategy to make southern statewide elections more expensive for Republicans.

IN the summer of 2022, I was the campaign coordinator for Steve Mulroy’s campaign to become Shelby County’s District Attorney. Mulroy ran a platform of community focused policing and common sense system reform.  Functionally, I was the on sight operations leader for all aspects of the campaign. My day to day included management of volunteer recruitment, voter identification, and building a grassroots fundraising apparatus. I specialized in bringing digital platforms to a local campaign that originally relied on more traditional forms of media. With platforms like spoke, VAN, and social media, it was my job to integrate modern campaign technology to increase our person to person capabilities and mobilize voters across the county.

Since the campaign, I have been working as a digital media consultant for Future901, a progressive PAC in Memphis which focused on grassroots fundraising for candidates running in local races in West Tennessee. I run our social media, manage our website, and distribute our community updates, endorsements, and our newsletter over Mailchimp.

I am looking to hone my skills as an advocate, a communications consultant, a political strategist, and as an organizer. I hope to find work that allows me to grow in my career by figuring out and overcoming complex challenges facing progressive candidates at all levels of government.
