Path to Progress
Sam works to bridge the gap between pragmatic policy proposals and idealistic, utopian aims.
Sam’s first foray into politics was at the age of 11 when he made calls for Barack Obama’s 2012 general election campaign with the local Democratic Party in his hometown of Evanston, Illinois. Since then, he has volunteered with multiple presidential, congressional, and local candidates, most recently founding Settle for Biden, a social media focused collective of activists, artists, celebrities, and influencers, which reached 73% of Gen Z and helped deliver Joe Biden the youth vote in 2020. Sam currently serves as the Executive Director of Path to Progress, Settle for Biden’s social media successor and an organization dedicated to developing the future of progressive messaging while fighting for systemic change.
Over the past two years, Sam has worked to bring progressive politics to young audiences through new and emerging platforms. Sam’s time in the political sphere has also yielded dozens of press mentions including a front-page feature in USA Today, a live appearance on BBC World News, and a documentary-style feature on VICE News. Sam and his work have also been featured in Forbes, Teen Vogue, CNBC, Axios, PAPER Magazine, Bloomberg, Yahoo News, and more.
As the 2022 midterms approach, Sam is focused on gaining nonprofit status for Path to Progress and bringing on board new team members in order to help elect progressives in November.
