| Bio | I began as a social media content creator for entrepreneurs and was referred by a friend to create content for a local candidate. I was brought back to my passion and excitement from when I canvassed and volunteered for Obama, Hillary and several local candidates over the years here in Florida. I never knew how great and rewarding using my creative talents in working for a candidate would be – or that it was an option for me due to the nature of my work. I was able to offer my graphic design, copywriting, email marketing, digital marketing and social media expertise to a campaign and use my social media of what created connections between business owners and customer to what can create connections between candidates and their supporters and voters. Especially to those who may not have originally wanted to be involved. After that first election cycle, I worked with a Senate Candidate in preparation for her Environmental Activism efforts and second run for office. I was able to support her campaign until Primaries were completed. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience working with more candidates as well as being a social media consultant and strategist to help improve the results of campaign communications staff. |
| Impact | The best impact that I had was finding and implementing fresh new ways for candidates to connect to their supporters and voters. Social media is forever changing and one thing I believe every campaign needs is someone aware what the trends are and how to apply them to their campaign without it getting into the cringe zone. We want people to relate to you, not think you are trying to hard to relate to them. People want to know they have an advocate and that someone knows them well and can represent them well. Social media is such a powerful tool to showcase this, if use properly. Positioned well, social media can improve fundraising and public image and community involvement during election cycles. |
| Mission | In 2025, I want to connect with and work with a great progressive campaign that wants to show up in a new way that gets people to vote who wouldn’t have even wanted to vote. In the future, I want to consult and speak at events as well as strategize and consult with campaign leadership to stand out and connect with their supporters in a better way that creates active and engaged votes as well as donors. |
