As part of my work with voter advocacy, I created teams of people in a faith community across the state to work on phone banking, text banking to get folks registered to vote and walk them through our complicated vote by mail process.  Our partners did trainings and I brought phone bankers. We reached over 500,000 voters through phone and text over 6 weeks.

In the span of 3 weeks, I brought together 100 people in a small, edge of suburbia, mostly red/republican town in Ohio to walk around town with campaign signs…in a pandemic.  A statewide campaign was proposed and I ran with it to organize locally.  Usually, those of us in this town would go into the city of Dayton to participate in events like this, but we wanted to make a statement statewide that suburban folks support Dems.  I am part of a Facebook group of people opposed to Trump and his kind in our town.  I leaned in, created a small work group and we made it happen.
