Power builder in South Texas

Bio

I am a compassionate and driven organizer seeking to thoughtfully disrupt the status quo and its corresponding culture of exploitation and greed that has lorded over our lives, labor, and futures. I have worked in a variety of spaces concerned with Latine/x empowerment, LGBTQIA+ rights & empowerment, women’s rights & empowerment, SA & DV survivor support, healthcare access, harm reduction, immigrant justice, environmental justice, economic justice, mutual aid, and political campaigning.

Impact

Through my experience as a canvasser and organizer for political campaigns like Jessica Cisneros’s, I worked to bridge the access gap of accurate information about COVID-19 and getting the COVID-19 vaccine for underserved and undocumented populations in South Texas by recruiting, training, and organizing canvassers to run a campaign in colonias and other vulnerable communities. I have also organized DACA renewal clinics, citizenship information sessions, and Know Your Rights workshops with lawyers and other community organizations.

Mission

I want to further organize and build power with vulnerable communities and new organizers to self-advocate and take hold of their community’s future.
