| Bio | I was one of the founding members of the Harrison County Young Democrats, in 2016. After the election, I some other students and our family members decided to get more involved in politics. We assisted is various campaigns over the next few years in the areas around Cynthiana and Lexington. Assisting in fundraisers, speaking to the public, cold calling and canvassing were all important parts of our work, and I feel confident in my ability to perform these skills regularly. |
| Impact | I canvassed tirelessly for both Amy McGrath campaigns, and in doing so immersed myself in the political landscape in much of rural and urban Kentucky. Through door-to-door engagement, informational sessions, and spirited discussions, I played a pivotal role in not just garnering votes, but also in fostering a deeper understanding of the issues at stake. By canvassing so relentlessly, I now understand the power that grassroots movements can have on shaping politics.

Whether that be cold calling potential voters, canvassing, setting up fundraisers, etc. I will do anything it takes to get more progressives in office. I want to see the middle class begin to grow in the United States, and I believe supporting progressives is the best way to accomplish that goal. |
