GAIN Power launched new and ongoing programs in 2021 dedicated to recruiting diverse talent interested in work in progressive politics and elevating experienced diverse leaders making an impact. We’re hosting networking, employment, and consultant recruitment-focused events and programs to help Democratic campaigns, consulting firms and the Progressive movement build a more reflective democracy and better engage communities they seek to represent.
GAIN POWER seeks Black, Indigenous, Latino/x, APIA, and people of color community (BIPOC) focused partners & organizational sponsors to join with us for a series of live dialogs, workshops, panels, political career fairs, recruitment events, and training opportunities for employers, consultants, and staff.
We’re especially interested in collaborating with organizations that have membership or social communities that you think may be interested in professional opportunities working on elections, democracy building, issue advocacy, or political consulting with progressive organizations.
We’re creating dedicated spaces to connect BIPOC talent eager to learn about career opportunities in progressive politics and to enter or move within our electoral and advocacy movements to find new jobs, contracts or clients.
Requested BIPOC Partner Commitment and Suggested Responsibilities:
- Organization name/logo listed as partner on GAIN POWER Representative Careers events marketing materials.
- Assign staff/leader to liaison and participate in planning calls, communications, and at events.
- Promote events through emails and social media.
- Recruit talent to events.
- Suggest other partners and hosts.
- Optional: Host unique training/networking events that compliment these programs.
- More ideas welcome!
