Building the Infrastructure for the People Who Power Democracy
Tuesday’s election gave us the boost we needed. It’s the energy that will help us through the challenges ahead. The fight for democracy continues. Whether we’re celebrating wins or facing setbacks, one thing is clear: the people who make democracy work need support, structure, and community now more than ever. As we move forward, it’s time to choose our next steps.
We’re entering a crucial time. The next three years will decide if we can rebuild the foundations of democracy or risk losing more ground to authoritarianism. This moment calls for fresh strategies and renewed commitment.
To meet this challenge, we need to organize more effectively, work together, and establish strong support systems that benefit our people, not just our campaigns. That’s why GAIN Power and Global GAIN are bringing together the GAINiverse Democracy Advisory Committee.
GAIN Power and Global GAIN are starting the GAINiverse Democracy Advisory Committee to support the people behind democracy: grassroots organizers, digital strategists, policy experts, campaign managers, and civic innovators. This is not about governing, but about building real community.
This is not about governing. It’s about coming together, connecting, and caring for each other.
🧭 What This Is—and Isn’t
✅ What It Is
- A space for coordination, not control
- A hub for talent support, learning, and collaboration
- A complement to existing tables and networks—not a competitor
- A shared infrastructure initiative—not a new institution
🚫 What It’s Not
- A voter contact or policy program
- A campaign or advocacy coalition
- A governing board or compliance entity
🌅 Post-Election 2025: Rebuilding Phase

🔓 Culture & Values
We’re building a network based on trust and openness, not one with barriers.
Our norms are simple:
- Engage with respect and transparency.
- Treat shared ideas as public and additive.
- Center care, collaboration, and curiosity
This work is important, but it should also bring us joy.
We believe in laughter, creativity, and connection as acts of resistance.
🌺 Our Shared Values
- Multiracial, inclusive, representative democracy
- Equity, justice, and sustainability
- Dignity and fair treatment for all democracy workers
- Collaboration over competition
- Long-term care for the people doing the work
Our work is rooted in our Declaration of Democracy & Interdependence, and we invite you to sign it.
Who is this for? If you’re a campaign staffer between jobs, a digital strategist who feels burned out but hopeful, a hiring manager rethinking your approach, or an organizer looking for community, this is your home.
