She has over 23 years of experience leading and executing in dynamic and diverse environments\, including as a senior official in the Obama Administration. Her performance-based and collaborative approach to management has brought results and change to nonprofit and advocacy organizations as well as the public sector.

We’ll make space for open conversation and do some fun games to help you branch out and meet new people. \nThis week’s guest is Eric Marshall\, Principal\, Grassroots Solutions. \nEric is a capacity builder and an expert in democracy and philanthropic engagement with a deep understanding of both national and state-based civic engagement infrastructure as well as how organizations turn movements into power. He delivers strategy development\, implementation and facilitation expertise to organizations and institutions that helps teams plan and work together effectively. Eric also provides philanthropic advising to foundations and donors to help cut through the noise and identify clear needs\, gaps and opportunities. \nPrior to joining Grassroots Solutions\, Eric was a leader in the philanthropic\, civic engagement\, and voting rights fields. He served as the executive director of the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation\, created State Voices’ national voting rights and election administration program\, and led the national Election Protection Coalition and was at the forefront of building the state election reform movement at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. \nWhen Eric isn’t working\, he is spending time with his adorable children and incredible wife\, enjoying the outdoors of Austin\, TX\, working out\, and watching Boston sports. \nThis event is free but we do ask if you are able to become a member of GAIN Power to help us host more interesting events like this.

We’ll make space for open conversation and do some fun games to help you branch out and meet new people. \n \nThis week’s guest is Nadia Nisha Belkin. She currently serves as the Colorado State Director for America Votes. She is the first woman of color to hold this position. In her role\, she facilitates the development of electoral plans and long-term power building in the progressive issue advocacy space. Her work involves the coordination and alignment of strategic planning efforts amongst forty-one in-state partners as well as numerous national organizations. Prior to this role\, Nadia was the National Deputy Field Director at America Votes where she traveled to various states to provide on the ground infrastructure evaluation as well as hands-on skills training and technical assistance. As an Indian-American Muslim woman\, Nadia has worked to elevate the voices and profiles of people of color. In 2020\, she was named in The National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs “40 Under 40” list for her work and commitment to building out AAPI voter engagement in key battleground states. \nShe will talk about her career path\, and her advice for building your career.
