Voter turnout is a crucial part of every campaign – and stressful! Field is where you win – and it doesn’t matter how much voter contact you do in your persuasion phase if they don’t turn out to vote.
You are not only reminding people about voting but also working with them to create a plan and handle any issues that might come up before they get to the polls to vote. From canvassing to lit to phone banking, mail, and online campaigns, getting supporters to the polls needs a plan, volunteers, and ACTION – but where do you start?
Join the Movement Politics Team at Renew US for a weekend interactive intensive in GOTV. We’ll start with your prep work – who are you trying to turn out? What is your current capacity, and what do you need to turn out the folks you need to win? Do you have time to run Weekends of Action in prep for your GOTV efforts?
Once you have an idea of what you need to accomplish, we’ll work on coming up with a plan. With consideration of your budget, we’ll dig into what the execution of goals looks like. This might be evolving roles from your persuasion team, developing your turnout script, or digging into volunteer recruitment.
This is a great weekend for folks on current campaigns, who have GOTV on the horizon, or who want to learn these skills for future campaigns.

About Renew U.S Renew integrates deep organizing, policy advocacy, and electoral politics to achieve immediate state-level policy victories and long-term, sustained political transformation. In 2020, we built a strong foundation and a powerful multi-racial coalition of 150+ grassroots organizations. In 2021, we launched our Campaign Manager Training Program and have successfully recruited and trained 300+ participants since then. Now, we are launching our Summer 2022 series of weekend-long intensives, designed to cover the essential tools needed for a final campaign push. This new training model is geared towards building lasting power and scale in the timeframe needed to meet the social and environmental crises we face.
