• Why activism is important to me.

Activism matters to me because it’s how we close the distance between what we say we believe and what people actually experience.

I care about good policy, yes, but I care even more about the day-to-day reality underneath it, whether families can find housing, whether workers can breathe financially, whether communities have the infrastructure and support they need to thrive. Activism is the bridge between the headlines and the human beings living inside them.

For me, activism isn’t about being loud. It’s about being consistent. It’s showing up, listening, telling the truth clearly, and helping create pathways for people to take action, vote, volunteer, donate, speak up, or simply understand what’s happening and why it matters.

The world doesn’t change because we “hope” hard enough. It changes when ordinary people decide that dignity, fairness, and opportunity aren’t optional and then do something about it.
