Tagline | Social activist with ESFJ type personality seeks to continue a meaningful career in issue advocacy, empathetic solutions, progressive voices, and in defense of American democracy. |
Bio | Experienced communicator and social activist with ESFJ type personality seek to continue a meaningful career in issue advocacy, empathetic solutions, progressive voices, and defense of American democracy. Passions lean toward defending marginalized & abused individuals & minorities, fighting for equal rights & equal treatment, defending workers and union rights, & working towards a fair, peaceful democracy, standing tall against systemic racism while pursuing a continuation towards improving social justice. |
Impact | Over the last decade, I have discovered a passion for progressive politics and issue advocacy. Along with my previous office and communication skills, I feel ready to get to work! My dip into politics started when I volunteered for President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns. POTUS 44’s compassion for others, enthusiasm, equality, and honesty piqued my interest, and this urge to help improve the lives of others grows and continues today. In 2018, I chose to pivot my educational & career goals from Information Technology and graduated from SNHU with a master’s in political science in January 2020.
I hope to bring my experiences and strengths to the fight for the marginalized, minorities, and everyday working folks, bringing advocacy, community communications, time management, and digital organizing skills to the employment negotiation table.
Usually, this is where I speak about all my office skills, but I am going to just speak from my current position and how I feel in our political climate. I am appalled at the way we are treating our fellow Americans. I am highly frustrated with our conservative counterparts who seem to have forgotten who they represent. I have decided that I am not going to stop until our democracy is safe. I will not stop until all people have an equal voice in this country.
I will not stand silent any longer while LGBTQIA+ people are afraid to be free and love who they want to love and be who they are out in public without fear. I will stand for all women and their right and freedom to reproductive health care without interference from men who do not understand what that or body autonomy means. I will also stand for the parents who have lost their children to unnecessary and tragic violence. Assault weapons and weapons of war do not belong in society, they belong in a war battle zone. The 2nd Amendment does not give license to mow down our children like grass in our schools, or to attempt to start race wars by murdering our minority populations, our elderly, or anyone else.
In my downtime, I fight to counter false information, and I share the correct information to counter today’s penchant for conspiracy theories and gaslighting on social media. I try to persuade folks to analyze their sources, confirm facts, and then share them. Since 2017, I initiated and volunteer in an indivisible group. I have also been a digital volunteer, administrator, and monitor of another group I founded in 2011. I supervise, approve, or deny daily requests, posts, complaints, and rules. This volunteer work also brings a much-needed boost to an online, local, and economic presence:
As a cis white, Christian, married, middle-aged woman in an America that tells people what they should and should not do or believe, it is my duty to stand for equity and equality for everyone. I would be honored if I could do that for your organization. |
Mission | I would love to use my training, skills, and experience towards a greater cause in fairness, equality, justice, helping marginalized folks, and defending our democracy and democratic rights. My superpowers are persuasion and issue advocacy. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Rep. John Lewis (RIP) are my role models. I sincerely just enjoy making life easier for underrepresented people and showing them how to defend themselves through science, advocacy, and democratic activism. I love helping and educating others about democratic issues and how to assist others using these same tools. |
