Involvement Level | I am interested in being more involved, but not currently involved. |
Current Employer | not employed |
Current Occupation | was Senior Organizer/Voter Organizer |
Tagline | I am a middle-aged PA hillbilly a Human🫂Rights🫶Advocate and a Constitutional Leftist. I personally believe both of those things are currently being violated by the US government. |
Bio | My work centers on fostering an informed electorate and an energized movement committed to restoring rights for all Americans, with particular emphasis on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women’s rights, and immigrant communities. My advocacy consistently aligns with policies that champion the rights, freedom, and equality fundamental to our party’s and nation’s values, even though I question some things I see before my eyes today. My ethics still stand strong. My academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in IT (2018) and a subsequent graduate degree (2020), providing a strong foundation for analytical and strategic thinking. Since re-establishing ties with my local community in 2005, I have cultivated a deep understanding of its heritage and its people. My residence in Somerset County since 2016 underscores my profound commitment to my commitment to the original heritage of the district and its residents. My professional experience spans extensive volunteering, canvassing, and political organizing, reflecting my engagement as a candidate in both local and U.S. politics, as well as my leadership as founder and volunteer of Indivisible Laurel Highlands. Although past candidacies for legislative office were unsuccessful, I remain resolute in my efforts to combat systemic injustices and advocate for effective governance.
My present focus is on human rights advocacy, with a strong emphasis on educating voters regarding the transformative power of civic participation. I am profoundly interested in actively contributing to the Democratic Party’s objectives and actively supported Vice President Harris’s campaign in the previous election. To be clear, my allegiance is with the US Constitution, and no other, and to the people, not to a party if that party chooses to walk away from those principles. |
Impact | I’ve consistently pursued initiatives aimed at fostering an informed public discourse. This includes actively countering misinformation and promoting factual verification on social media, encouraging critical source analysis, and responsible information sharing. My leadership extends to founding and volunteering with an Indivisible group since 2017. Furthermore, I established a separate online community in 2011, serving as its digital administrator and monitor. In this role, I manage daily requests, posts, and community standards, contributing significantly to the group’s robust online, local, and economic presence. My commitment to universal equity and equality is a core guiding principle. I welcome opportunities to apply this dedication to meaningful endeavors. Honestly, seeing how the last election has gone, after so many efforts that we have made to educate and try to help others learn what they are doing wrong, I do not know how much impact I have had. I do not gice up, though, whether I am at a job or not. |
Mission | I would love to use my training, skills, and experience towards a greater cause in fairness, equality, justice, helping marginalized folks, and defending our democracy and democratic rights. My superpowers are persuasion and issue advocacy. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Rep. John Lewis (RIP) are my role models. I sincerely just enjoy making life easier for underrepresented people and showing them how to defend themselves through science, advocacy, and democratic activism. I love helping and educating others about democratic issues and how to assist others using these same tools. I am confident that my unique blend of experience, vision, and empathy, coupled with my ease in working within groups and contributing to shared thoughts, makes me a strong candidate. I have attached my resume for your review and welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills and passion can benefit your team. |
