| Bio | I have been involved in progressive organizing for a long time, but only recently got formally involved in progressive politics. In High School, I started a leftist theory club focused on interpreting and discussing leftist economic and social theory. In my Freshman and Sophomore years of College, I worked for Campaign for a New Myanmar, which works closely with progressive groups in the country of Myanmar as they fight against the oppressive military junta there. Last summer, I worked as a volunteer in the Zohran Mamdani campaign for mayor of New York. I got started very early on in the campaign, first working as a petitioner to help get him on the Democratic Primary ballot, before moving on to other duties such as door-to-door canvassing and voter outreach, literature distribution, poster distribution, stacking and sorting literature in the office, phone banking, and text banking. Inspired by the Mamdani campaign, I am currently working to establish a DSA chapter at my institution. Towards the end of the primary, I was even made a canvas lead and organizer. This summer, I plan on doing a lot more volunteering with some major progressive primary challengers in my area, but I would also like a more formal or paid position with set hours and responsibilities in order to actually start building my career profile. I am also working on my blog, National People’s Power, which is a blog that seeks to match voters inspired by Mamdani and progressives to left-wing congressional candidates in their area. I also run a separate blog talking about international elections (since I am an International Affairs major). |
| Impact | The biggest way that I have made an impact was probably through my work on the Mamdani campaign, who won both the Primary and General Elections in 2025, and is now the Mayor of New York City. I was one of the first volunteers on his campaign, and had begun doing initial outreach when Mamdani was still well under 10% of the vote. I was only one of thousands of volunteers, but together we did get him over the finish line.

| Mission | My aspirations would be to help progressive work on their foreign policy stances and help create a more cohesive progressive united front on foreign policy. I am educated in International Affairs first and foremost, that is my background and in many yeas I know more about International Affairs than domestic politics. International Affairs is a place where progressives often fall short, or are otherwise excluded. For this cycle though, my goals are moderate. I want to work for progressive causes in my area. I will probably do more volunteer and canvassing work for candidates specifically in New York, like Brad Lander and Claire Valdez. |
