| Bio | I became involved in progressive politics after the last election, when I started using my research and data skills to contribute to the progressive political conversation. Since then, I’ve published weekly articles on Substack exploring progressive issues, joined the Democratic Socialists of America where I participate in meetings and grassroots events, and volunteered to phonebank for Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral run. I am looking to continue to look for ways to apply my research experience to support progressive causes. |
| Impact | I’m still at the early stages of my involvement in progressive politics, and I’ve been working on volunteering, writing about progressive issues, and getting more connected to local organizing work. While I haven’t held a major political organizing role yet, my most recent project was as a volunteer Research Lead for the NYC Department of Education, which gave me experience leading a team, conducting focus groups, and synthesizing insights to inform decisions for a large public institution. That work strengthened the same skills I’m now applying to progressive spaces, which was designing research, translating complex findings into clear recommendations, and supporting mission-driven teams with data that helps them understand people’s needs and behaviors. |
| Mission | This cycle, I want to contribute my research and analytical skills to help progressive organizations and candidates better understand public opinion, test messages, and strengthen narrative strategy for the 2026 midterm elections. I’m interested in working on teams that use survey data, qualitative insights, and research to guide decisions around persuasion, engagement, and organizing. Long-term, I hope to build a career where I can contribute my understanding of sociology, psychology, and other sciences to actually engage with politicians, political pundits, and the public to help them better understand progressive political ideas. |
