| Bio | Blue collar progressive activist and organizer unafraid to get my hands dirty and work until the job is done. My work experience ranges from retail to education to union organizing to beekeeping– I’m flexible, I’m skilled at communicating with diverse (and sometimes disparate) groups of people, and I’m always ready to learn something new. I received a master’s in labor relations in 2017 and an BA in English before that. |
| Impact | Up until just after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I was working for the UNITE HERE New England Joint Board in casinos. I’m extremely proud of the work I did when the pandemic first hit– I spent hours on the phone with different states’ unemployment departments, and helped people sign up for hospitality relief funds if they did not qualify for traditional unemployment. |
| Mission | This is a hard time for the progressive movement with the overturning of Roe happening soon. I’d be interested in working for a pro-choice politician, or bringing my labor union experience to a pro choice organization. |
