| Bio | I became involved in progressive politics through my academic and community work focused on equity, social justice, and public policy reform. While pursuing my Master of Public Policy at Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, I developed a strong interest in policies that expand access to opportunity, especially for underrepresented and low-income communities. My coursework and research have centered on issues like foster care reform, social welfare financing, and economic equity. Outside the classroom, I’ve worked in grassroots outreach, leading canvassing teams and managing field operations that connected voters to campaigns advancing racial, economic, and gender justice. These experiences deepened my commitment to evidence-based advocacy and people-centered policymaking. Through a combination of on-the-ground organizing and policy analysis, I aim to continue driving initiatives that promote fairness, accountability, and inclusive growth. |
| Impact | I’ve made an impact in progressive politics by bridging grassroots organizing with policy analysis to drive evidence-based change. As a Field Manager for a grassroots outreach organization, I trained and led canvassing teams to engage thousands of voters on key issues such as healthcare access, education funding, and workers’ rights. I developed data-driven field systems to improve outreach efficiency, incorporating nightly debriefs, digital tracking tools, and localized messaging that boosted voter contact rates and strengthened community trust. At the policy level, my graduate work in public policy has focused on advancing equity through state-level social programs. My current research with the Georgia Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget analyzes foster care funding structures to identify cost disparities and improve child welfare outcomes. By combining field experience with policy expertise, I’ve contributed to making progressive advocacy both people-centered and data-informed—ensuring that the values of fairness, inclusion, and accountability are reflected in both campaign work and policymaking. |
| Mission | This cycle, I want to continue building the bridge between grassroots advocacy and public policy by helping progressive campaigns turn community priorities into actionable policy outcomes. I’m especially interested in supporting issue-based organizing around child welfare, education equity, and economic justice—areas where data-driven policy design can directly improve lives. Beyond this cycle, my goal is to serve in a policy analysis or government affairs role where I can translate research and community insights into equitable public policy. I hope to work at the intersection of social policy and public finance—advancing progressive reforms that strengthen public systems and expand opportunity. Ultimately, I want my career to reflect a long-term commitment to justice and effective governance: ensuring that the values of inclusion, fairness, and accountability are embedded in how government serves people. |
