Progressive Profile
| Current Employer | Self-employed |
| Current Occupation | Political Consultant & Campaign Manager |
| Tagline | Former state legislator, campaign manager, and political entrepreneur with 20 years of experience launching political start-ups, leading groundbreaking campaigns, developing innovative political strategies, raising multi-million dollar budgets, building collaborative teams, and organizing grassroots movements that empower people to create meaningful and lasting change. |
| Bio | I cut my teeth in Democratic politics and the movement for LGBTQ equality. My passion for creating a more just and inclusive America has led me to become an advocate for structural and campaign finance reforms. I want to help shift the balance of power away from big money and special interests to give more voice, more choice, and more power to the American people. |
| Impact | I served on the leadership team for the campaign that won the nation’s first ballot measure victory for same-sex marriage (2012); managed the ballot measure campaigns that won and protected the nation’s first statewide ranked-choice voting law, and that expanded the groundbreaking law to include presidential primaries and elections (2016, 2018, 2019); as a member of the Maine Legislature, led successful efforts to open Maine’s primaries to unenrolled voters and implement ongoing absentee voting for elderly and disabled voters (2021); launched the ballot measure campaign that stopped foreign governments, corporations, and individuals from spending money on state and local ballot measures, and that supported passage of a U.S. Constitutional amendment to limit campaign contributions (2023); and led the campaign that won limits on contributions to Super PACs, setting up a challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court (2024). |
| Mission | I aspire to advise and manage people-powered ballot measure campaigns to create meaningful and lasting change on issues that include, but are not limited to, structural and campaign finance reform and human and civil rights. I am interested in advising the campaigns of bold progressive candidates. |
