Bio |
I’m a longtime organizer from Texas. I moved to Chicago for undergrad and began working in Ameya Pawar’s office. In 2017, I moved back to Texas where I was appointed to the Human Rights Commission of Austin. I worked across the region to elect progressives. In 2020, I was offered a position in housing services in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been living, working, organizing, and hiking here ever since.

Impact |
I can’t take credit for any singular moment, I’ve always been a collaborative person. However, a moment I’m most proud of was authoring the Human Rights Commission’s recommendation to reallocate funds away from Austin Police Department toward modern public safety preventions and interventions. Austin became one of the only jurisdictions in the country to do so. While it took my entire community to achieve it, I’m proud I helped in all the ways I was able.

Mission |
This cycle, I’m focused on preventing a second Trump term. Beyond this cycle, I hope to find ways to communicate complex political theory to the average person.
