While attending Florida Southwestern State College, and Florida State University, I have held various leadership positions that allowed me to build on my leadership skills. My Interdisciplinary Social Science degree has provided me with critical thinking, collaboration, and research skills. These experiences have allowed me to learn how to work with a team and achieve our shared goals. For my academic achievements, I have been awarded the Deans Leadership Award, Club member of the Year as President of Global Citizens and Legal studies Club, Mina’s Edison Society Scholar, Florida State Board of Education Leadership Award, and Honor’s Outstanding Achievement in Student Engagement Award. My academic achievements, combined with my experience as a community activist, will enable me to succeed as a community organizer.
