Proven expertise in strategic leadership, cross-sector coalition-building, program development, and organizational capacity-building. Demonstrated success in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots mobilization. Skilled in managing $1M+ budgets, leading diverse teams, and securing institutional funding. Trusted spokesperson and advisor on equity-centered initiatives, with a strong track record of influencing local, state and federal policy. A published columnist and has been an Assistant Editor and Regional Editor for two international newspapers in the Caucasus region. At times I worked with the US Embassy Press Secretary on various assignments related to political, economic and social issues in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, I have acquired a great deal of experience working with the UN and NGOs on matters related to healthcare and social programs for women and orphans.

Impact

I have impacted progressive politics by leading statewide and national campaigns that combined grassroots mobilization with strategic policy advocacy. In North Carolina, I directed campaigns on Medicaid expansion and voting rights that elevated community voices and influenced state policy debates. During the Georgia Senate runoffs, I organized voter protection and mobilization efforts, coordinating with legal teams and grassroots groups to ensure access to the ballot. I also founded the Carolina Peace Center, building a statewide progressive coalition that trained new leaders, organized mass actions, and developed creative strategies—such as pairing digital advocacy with on-the-ground canvassing—to expand engagement. These experiences taught me how to innovate, scale campaigns, and bring diverse communities into progressive movements.
