Bio |
I am a social architect, brand strategist, and scholar activist with a passion for education, research, community development, and tackling social issues. I currently serve as an assistant professor at Alabama State University. Much of my research and community advocacy is influenced by the intersection of culture, media, public opinion, and technology. I often encourage individuals to take control of their social perception and seek a more balanced view of society and its issues.

Impact |
I’m currently involved in several social entrepreneurial ventures. I’m the co-founder of the Blackyard, a space to inform, inspire, and equip social change agents for the black and brown communities. Our goal is to expose our audience to expressions that examine topics dealing with the Black consciousness, revolutionary struggle, Black political thought, Black media/cinema, Black visual arts/aesthetics, music, and fashion. I’m also the co-founder of Hardy Creative Lab, a creative strategy agency with the goal of helping organizations build symbiotic and sustainable relationships with their target audience.

Mission |
I hope to soon transition out of the classroom and put myself in a position to leverage my practical skills and theoretical knowledge regarding strategic communications, emerging media, and branding in a space dedicated to social change full time. I want to help amply the voices and increase access to power to marginalized and disenfranchised groups.
