It's not so much about me personally – just a couple of prophetic, poignant, and powerful lines that stay with me: "You can't stay neutral on a moving train" and "The only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history". The juxtaposition of both sentiments in the same sentence is actually making me realize that I am saying something about myself by quoting them since their messages are somewhat paradoxical in that they express the tension I (and I know others) feel in reconciling hopeful idealism with pragmatic realism.
