Asian American Politics – 1 year after Biden’s election

It’s been one year since the Democratic Party took control of the White House and Congress, thanks to the election of President Joe Biden. How much change has happened for the Asian community since then? A panel of community organizers across the country working in AAPI spaces discussed the progress and obstacles of our diverse communities since Biden’s election, as we discuss local and national trends that will be impacting the upcoming legislative and campaign cycles.

Our panelists included Raymond Partolan (field director of APIA Vote), Ian Kamus (community organizer with the Pilipino Workers Center in Los Angeles, Jeanie Le (chair of the Orange County Young Democrats and Constituency Organizing Director of the DCCC, and Deepankar Tripurana (administrator and moderator of Subtle Asian Activists).
